2-35-P-H-6........ ALITALIA FIAT G.12 TRIMOTOR...... Rare photo of one of the few remaining Fiat G.12's after WWII (see the C-54 in USAAF colors in background)........'Aerolinee Italiane Internazional'.........sources vary, but only about 30 of these planes were built throught WWII for the Italian Air Force, at the end of the war, the few remaining were used as civilian airliners by Alitalia .........quite large it had a 93' wingspan and supposedly could do 200mph+......original 7x9" high resolution photo has some pencil markings on the reverse....excellent condition......$19

SET OF TWO DC-3 POSTCARDS.......Top postcard is titled 'The Take Off', its a Kodachrome by Trans World Airlines, reverse has TWA 'arrow' logo and it dated September 1947.....lower postcard is lake Central Airlines machine, reverse of postcard is marked "Lake Central Airlines is the world's only employes owned airline and serves 33 cities in the 6 state area od Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and flies a fleet of the world's safest airplanes, the dependable Douglas DC-3"........each post card measures 3.5" by 5.5" in new old stock condition (unused)....set of 2 for ........$12 |

6-36-P-H-6......CURTISS A-18 INSPECTED BY MAYOR LAGUARDIA........Interesting original photo of rare Curtiss twin engine attack plane (only 18 built) parked next to C-47.....walking in front of the plane is New York mayor FH Laguardia and Captain Cobb (handwritten at corner of photo)....measures 8 by 5" in good condition.....removed from personal album....circa 1940........$9 |

7-35-P-H-6........USAAF WWII AERIAL BOMBING PHOTOS ......Included in this lot is 2 photos....each measures roughly 9.5" by 9.5".......if you look closely, you can see smoke and destruction from the bombs as they explode (size of the smoke plumes makes me think these were 500# GP's).....large crates in the ground clearly visible....in one photo, looks like we were bombing a train station........other photo looks like we were bombing a railway near a city......top of one photo marked with some codes, and you can see it was developed and cut from a role of photos...very high definition....set of two original photos........$35 |

8-36-P-H-6.......C-87 AIRPLANE MAINT. TECH. PHOTO................Quite rare and original photo which came from wall of wartime center where combat crews came thru on way to R&R after achieving required number of combat mission, the officer in charge of the center asked each for a photo and typed a short description and posted for other crews to see a friend who "made it" when they came thru...this was taken from wall at wars end......T/Sgt. J.B. Roach and Sgt. Bob Hutchinson of Spencer, N.C...........were attached to the AAFPDA 19th. Troop Carrier Sqdn....(believe this was 5th. Air Force of Australia area)....nose art on what appears to be C-87 (troop transport B-24) says 'Southern Cross Airways'.....dated 25 December-44.....this data is on card attached dated 13 Aug 1944 and Lt. Benton has inked his name and aircraft name on reverse...photo is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"...has several small holes from staples which originally affixed it to R&R center wall....$17.50 |

PHOTO, MUNICH, MAY 1944.........Not easy to find, this is an original aerial recon. photo as produced by the USAAF for intelligence use (most likely, subsequent bombing).......photo is marked with lat./ lon. coordinates, scale, AF markings, marked RESTRICTED, and shows Munich at lower right corner, Dachau at top...........at center of chart is aircraft engine facility - it is obviously the interest of this mission....credit given to 941st. Engr. Bn MAPRW, September 1944........(the mapping division that processed the photo)......was this later bombed?.......photo measures about 9.5" by 9.5", very high defitinion.........original.........$34 |

10-36-P-H-6......ALABAMA WWII POSTCARD SET .....Set of four Wartime postcards: 1.Craig Field, Selma, Ala. titled 'On the Ramp at the Flight Line'.....AT-6's in the background, these must have been advanced students training to become fighter or attack pilots...... 2.Broad Street, Looking North, Selma, Ala.....what we don't see here in this postcard are the good bars where all the drunk cadets were at........ 3.Craig Field Cadet dives at gunnery target, Craig Field, Selma, Ala.......give a 20 year old kid an AT-6 with some Browning machine guns, and a target on a pier......hmmmm 4.Post Operation's Building, maxwell Field, Montgomery, Ala.......Yet another base in Alabama with even more AT-6's...... all postcards are in excellent original condition, bottom postcard has been used and is postmarked September 1942......it was sent 'free' the kid was in the USAAF writing his aunt and uncle.....each measures 3.5" by 5.5".....the set of 4 postcards for......$14 |
