At least 4 of Douglas' famous Berlin Airlift Operations aircraft are seen parked here....'The Air Transport Command' can be seen painted on the fuselage of the nearest aircraft......hand written notes on back side 'Palm Springs Airport 1945, ATC Air Transport Command C-54.......an original in good shape ...... 2.5" by 4" from personal album........$5

3-35-P-H-5.....DEHAVILLAND TIGER MOTH.........Affectionately known to British pilots as 'the old nag' these biplanes were produced from the 1930's throught the 1940's and were as well used and numerous as the Boeing PT-17 Stearman is to us Yanks........modern 8" by 10" photo of Canadian registered plane is at some fly-in that looks familiar to me, maybe Watsonville??.......excellent condition and glossy.......$5

5-35-P-H-5......SET OF 3 FORD WWII WAR EFFORT POSTCARDS.....All major industries helped towards the War Effort of WWII, and Ford was no exception.....here are three large postcards printed by Ford, each with a b&w photo on the front showing some of the equipment that they built for the US Military...... armored cas, Sherman Tank, B-24 Liberator, CG-4 Assault Glider, tractor, R-1820 radial engine, and some items I don't recognize.....reverse of each postcard is marked 'Theres a Ford in your future!'.......'Building Wings and Wheels for Victory' ......each postcard measures 4.5" by 7" in new old stock condition.....WWII.......... set of three for.......$15

This photo falls under the 'you'll never guess catagory'.......press release photo dated Dec 1, 1948 with press release story attached to reverse, it shows actual in-flight comparison of 2 DC-4's one with reversing props and the other without........the arrow points to where they 'pulled the brakes'........5.5" by 8" ........quite obscure... very good condition.....$5 |

7-35-P-H-5....UNITED AIRLINES DC-6 POSTCARD......Ahh, back when flying in an airliner was still an event worthy of formal attire......This original 3.5" by 5.5" new old stock unused, full color postcard has United icon on the revers, and a description " Full-course meals, prepared in United's own flight kitchens, are served with complete dinnerware and silver service on individual tables. This group is enjoying dinner in one of United's DC-6 Mainliner 300's smart "club-car" sections.".......circa late 1950's....unused new old stock condition...$4

8-35-P-H-5.......... AMERICAN AIRLINES PILOT 1938 .... Original Jan. 1938 photo of American pilot S.J. Young.... this 8" by 10" is unique in that a typed biograpghy of Mr. Young is glued on the back side...lists name, birthplace, marriage status, total flight hours, date of hire, training location, etc.....barely visible in corner of photo is American Airlines Photo stamp........undoubtably kept in a file at American's personnel office....Young flew the Chicago to Newark route.........$10

10-35-P-H-5.........DEHAVILLAND BEAVER AGPLANE.........Interesting old personal photo of beaver with spray-rig mounted the wings.....Canadian registry and side of fuselage marked 'Aviation Services" "21" and "SASK" (Saskatchewan?).......Stearman ag-plane in the background marked 'Central' on the fuselage.....I have been told this photo os 1950's era and Northern Washington State, but I don't know........3" by 5" in fair to good cond. with some marks at top of photo paper (see image)......$4
