I think this is actually a DC-6B, National began operations in 1944 in the Atlantic Southeast, and operated a variety of interesting prop driven aircraft......this is a postcard measuring about 3.5" by 5.5" in unused condition and marked 'photo postcard' on reverse.....good condition....$8 |

WWII AERIAL BOMBING PHOTO ......Amstetten (Lower Austria) .....measures 10" x10" with some edge wear but overall good condition.......various coded information at edges.......developed from Eastmen Rewgular Safety' film.........you can see the smoke/debris cloudfs where the bombs detonated........I don't know much more about this mission or the aircraft used.........$12 |

VOUGHT XSBU-1 SCOUT BOMBER ....Original press release photo dated April 1936 with typed caption glued to back.......later known as the Vought Vindicator , only one airplane was built for the Navy (this one here!) and the first flight was in 1936.... this airplane had a retractable landing gear and was Vought’s first monoplane ...very good condition from private collection....8" by 10".....$20 |

5-35-P-H-1......ROLLS ROYCE DART TURBOPROP ENGINE AND VIP'S.........Great professional 8" by 10" showing C.L. Tracy, Aviastion editor of Cleveland Press (left) being shown the new engine by A.G. Morrall, Asst. General Manager of Rolls Royce Ltd, Montreal......photo taken by and stamped from Rebman Photo Service of Cleveland Ohio.....this photo probably is publishedin an old Avition Week or similar......as most of you know, the Rolls Royce Dart was about the first successful turboprop (formerly called a 'propeller-turbine' or 'propjet')....this engine powered the Vickers Viscount, Fokker F-27, YS-11, and even some modified DC-3's!.....it doesn't seem like it, but this engine is 60 years old now- its antique......photo shows cutaway engine on display, probably to promote sales of the engine, when industry still did not trust turbine engines......historic photo in excellent condition.......$5 |

9-36-P-H-1........GOLDEN AGE CROPDUSTING STEARMAN......Looking like a scene from a movie, action photo of 'helmeted' cropduster pilot running up his '450 Stearman' and looking at idling Dehavilland Beaver and 2 more cropduster Stearmans in backgound......the Stearman in foreground is marked CEN(Central I think) on the side of its grime streaked fuselage.......gravel runway with trees....photo measures 8" by 10" with high detail and in good condition, but bottom edge is damaged (see image) and reverse has inked stamp mentioning this is a copyrighted photo and NOT FOR PUBLICATION with more' lawyerese' and marked 'Cowles Magazines, INC. of NY'.......I can almost hear the round engines idling......$10 |
