6-39-P-A-6........PAIR OF 'SLIDER' AIR ASSOCIATES LAP-BELT SEATBELTS.....Long since determined un-safe, and generally illegal by the FAA, these are what a number of our favorite antique airplanes were equipped with new......light brown/olive drab webbing, gold buckle, and black belt end, these were quite attractive......on reverse of each belt is the Air Associates original tag, with an old FAA approval (now long since NOT APPROVED due to the slider buckles which were determined to slip in an accident!) ........belt is 2" wide, and each assembly measures 62" long.....one end of assembly has metal slider/bolt attachment plate, and the other has only a slider (see photos)......these belts are in amazing, excellent condition.....I won't tell you who's plane these were just removed from, but they were in a flying plane up until very recently when they would not pass annual!) .....would make a perfect display for your antique at a fly-in, belts could be slid under seat-back and look original, then removed for flight......two complete seatbelts, used from 1940's through 1960's..... the set of 2 seat belts only $40

10-40-P-A-6........AIRCRAFT RADIO ANTENNA .....This 'falls' under the 'truth is stranger than fiction' category, this 27" long solid mast antenna was found by a friend who was hiking far up in our local Sierra Nevada mountain range and stumbled across it!.......we figure this fell off a passing US Navy aircraft due to grey color, zinc chromated inside and high quality construction ...... numerous fire-bombers fly in this area during the summer so it might be off of one?....who knows.....quite large and solid built (heavy), doesn't look too damaged from its fall, but could use a good cleaning.........$9
