2-51-A-P-1......CLOTH 'SILK' FLIGHT/ ESCAPE AAF MAP WWII CHINA RUSSIA KOREA.......First edition 1944 two sided full color map with complete legends at bottom of each side of map for scale, topographical information, index to boundaries, symbols, and some translation of local languages....one side of chart is Korea, other side has parts of Korea, China and USSR......compass roses and magnetic variation also marked on chart.....contrary to popular belief, this chart was prepared in part with information obtained from Japanese Imperial Land Survey map dated 1934........ long list of credits were given at bottom of map for information used.........hard to imagine the USA would credit our enemy in time of War, but we did!...... 'silk' (actually a synthetic nylon material) map measures about 24" square, marked at top 'AAF CLOTH CHART, VLADIVOSTOK/KEIJO' for War and Navy use only and in unbelievable new old stock condition .......spectacular chart.......$60
3-51-A-P-1.....USAAF AERONAUTICAL CHART, MARCH 1945...Dakar, French West Africa to Bolama, Portuguese Guinea ......chart marked 'This chart is prepared for use at night under white, unltra-violet, red, and amber lights.' ..also marked 'Aeronautical Information, March 1945' and 'Prepared at the direction of the Commanding General, Army Air Forces, for the Aeronautical Chart Service'.....measures 30" by 14.5" with full b&w chart legend on reverse side (which is as interesting as the chart itself)....full color chart in good used condition with light staining and some pencil notes....this one undoubtably has logged flight time over Dakar......SOLD
4-51-A-P-1....RAPID CITY SECTIONAL AERONAUTICAL CHART, OCT 1955........Containing Sheridan and Ellsworth AFB, this chart stretches from North Dakota to Wyoming......40" by 23" in excellent used condition with a few pencil marks and stamp...back side of chart full of useful info. such as cruising altitudes and ADIZ procedures.......$11

6-51-A-P-1.......(BRITISH) WAR OFFICE CHART OF MUNCHEN (MUNICH) GERMANY, 1942 ......The Brit's produced most Europe war charts for use by ALL allied forces during WWII, including this 28" by 24" full color chart of Germany .....this is what our bomber pilots, navigators, and bombardiers of the 8th Air ForceUSAAF used in their B-17's and B-24's ...... chart printed in 'bomber purple' as wha would show up under white, amber, red, and UV lighting as used in various aircraft for night missions.....Nurnberrg also on this chart........scale 1: 500,000.....(equivalent to today's sectional aircraft charts) ....topographical chart in very good condition.....SOLD
7-51-A-P-1............DALLAS SECTIONAL AERONAUTICAL CHART, 1952...... Marked US Air Force Edition....... Original chart of Dallas TX (chart Q-5)........these old sectionals measure a "man sized" 2' by 4', not like the wimpy charts of today ...... runs from about Lubbock-Perrin-Hillsboro-Big Spring....good condition... ......$11
8-51-A-P-1.......RAF WAR CHART OF S.W. ENGLAND ........Ordnance survey of Great Britain (Aeronautical Map) measures 24" by 28" in 1:500,000 scale (same as current sectional aeronautical charts).....chart shows famous English Channel, and tip of France.....many an Allied bomber crew spent agonizing moments nursing their stricken machines to the safety of the Channel, where Brit. Hurricanes and boats anxiously awaited crews' returns......chart is unique in that it has grid markings over the English Channel to allow pilots a reference point for reporting on station, in position, or last reported, etc.....key explains grid marking reference points as well......printed on light paper and in remarkable condition.....dated 10/44.....light staining, but no tears .....$45
9-52-A-P-1..........CAPE CANAVERAL TO KEY WEST ......Published in Wash. DC by US Coast and Geodetic Survey in Aug. 1932 and re-issued in May 0f 1938, this large 30" wide by 48" tall color chart contains soundings for water depths all around the Southern tip of Florida and the Keys......but what may be most interesting about this original chart is the pencilled owner's names on reverse side (front when folded).......Lt. Col John W. Monahan, Joseph Bragger and Art Inman..........Art Inman was a TWA Captain in the late 1930's.....I don't know who Bragger was, but John W. Monahan was a US Air Corps pilot who went on to command the 34th. Bomb Group, of the 8th Air Force in 1944 and 1945, operating B-17's and B-24's from Mendelsham England with the 4th, 7th, 18th, and 391st. Squadrons.......(see image of patch, sorry its not included with sale of map!).........chart came from private collection of Capt. Inman and is ink stamped June 1941, wonder what a Lt. Col. USAC Pilot was doing with it....heavy single-sided paper...original in very good condition.......$37




10-52-A-P-1........ GIANT WAR MAP OF THE WORLD WWII ........And giant it is, at 32" by 44", this paper, one sided, full color map contains all kinds of information, such as world populations broken down by Allied, Neutral and Axis countries ...not dated, but obviously WWII, there is a legend of such items as Importnat Roads and Air Distances.....marked 'Prepared Especially for Skelly Oil Company' by HM Gousha Company and in collaboration with Clifton Utley, Skelly's Ace News Commentator....... a few small tears around edges (undoubtably was a 'wall-hanger') but in overall good condition ......yours for......$19
