-7-I-N-9......... AC RECORDING TACH'S LARGE..... OK, I give up, I don't have a clue what used these tach's, but they are AC brand, recording tachometers, the one on the right appears new old stock with only .04 of an hour on it, vintage non- luminous creme markings on black background, redline from 2100 rpm. and up ...... marked on case that it registers twice cable speed, and hourmeter calibrated at 1540 rpm.........works off reverse rotation like many antique airplanes use with angle drive adaptors on their tach cables......the tach. on the left is another AC that has a broken tach. needle, and doesn't seem to work anyway , but it looks like a similar unit, so should be good spare parts.....flange mount (no 'u' channel included) and strangely, these are slightly larger than standard, about 3 and 3/8" across....both for......$75
-11-I-N-9...VINTAGE OIL TEMP GAUGE...Mfg in the early '40s...standard two and one fourth inch 4 screw panel mount with old style 'snap ring' face bezel...oil temp range from 10-150 c. (approx 50-300 f.')...has 8 foot long capillary lead with 4" long bulb...in fine working order...new-old stock condition...have several...standard 2 and 1/4' diameter hole mount....$ 149each
-27-I-N-9....VERTICAL CHRONO TACHOMETER, AIR CORPS 1929.....Quite rare and unusual aircraft instrument built for the Air Corps in 1929 by Pioneer Instruments...probably was used in a Boeing P-12 as some of the early versions had these vertical instruments...this is a chronograph tachometer...the type with clockwork which were very expensive and very accurate....size approx 1 3/8 by 7" and 5" deep...marked Air Corps and dated 1929 on the case...$495
-28-I-N-9...CARB AIR TEMP GUAGE...Used in many aircraft in WW11, this 2 1/4" dia. instrument measured the air temperature in the intake of the carbueretor and warned of possible ice buildup and blockage of the air flow...thereby causing the engine to stop and scaring the pilot badly....makes a nice desk ornament......most are Weston 606 ....these have three wire hook-up at back of case...not tested....generally good shape, although glass is loose in some....have several, your choice for.......$29 each..
-48-I-N-9.........VULTEE MODEL 72 VENGEANCE GEAR/FLAP INDICATOR .......You want obscure??? You got it!......Vultee Model 72 was a private venture by Vultee to sell aircraft worldwide for use in the attack role .........plane was ordered by the French before their fall, then under lend lease to British, Australian and Russians among other countries.......then the USAAF decided they wanted some and re-named them the A-31, then later the A-35.......interesting history of this obscure attack plane of which some 1500 were built.....are there any left anywhere? I don't know, but I do know this landing gear indicator and flap indicator is number verified as the correct original gauge for this plane....std. 3 and 1/8" diam. mount, electrically operated to show flaps, main wheels and tailwheel position......notice unique 'Vultee' emblem on tail .........in used, very good condition......very unique original gauge for.......$125

-47-I-N-9. MYSTERY WWII 600 KNOT AIRSPEED ....OK I give up, I can't figure out what aircraft used this ...its a std. 3 and 1/8" mount Bendix Pioneer type F-2 airspeed indicator, the same indicator that the P-51 and P-47 used, except the face is calibrated in Knots instead of MPH.......the range is exactly the same, the case, markings, everything the same but the face........the instrument is marked as a 1942 unit, but the US Navy did not to my knowledge have any aircraft with a 600 Knot airspeed indicator in 1942!.......was this gauge used in an Experimental US NAVY plane?.. an export?....was this gauge later modified by the US Navy for use in something like the F9F Panther?.....I do not know, but I do know this is a good looking condition, but inoperative gauge (has a rattle when you shake it)....also no USAAF or USN acceptance stamps, but mysterious silver stamp and yellow marking on the case....if you know what aircraft used this, tell me!........very obscure......$95
-46-I-N-9......... BENDIX SCINTILLA MAG SWITCH ..........Series EF switch as used in virtually any open cockpit tandem Primary Trainer PT of WWII ...these dog-eared, snap ring faced switches are unique in that at the rear of the aluminum case protrudes an aluminum shaft that is used to connect switch to another (ever wonder how 'do they do that' in a tandem trainer with a mag switch in each cockpit?).......switch is normal in all other aaspects and will work just fine by itself too.......std. 3 and 1/8" dia. with BOTH-L-R-OFF positions........P-lead wires connect in rear of case, and run through circular hole at bottom...... this one is in good cond. and operates crisp and tight, but as with any other important item, you need to tested/inspect before use.............SOLD

-27-I-N-9.....CONSOLIDATED PB4Y-2 OIL GAUGE ....The US NAVY version of the B-24 Liberator served in many major campaigns over both the Pacific and Atlantic during WWII.....used as a maritime patrol bomber, recon, transport, and observation plane, the large 4 engine machine spent a LOT of time over the ocean.....hence the need for monitering the oil useage for each of the 14 cylinder radial Pratt & Whitney's......this Liquidometer model EA 109-4 gauge indicated all four engines oil quantity at once........with Navy anchor acceptance stamp and data plate on case....unit appears fesh from overhaul (well 60 ago years fresh!).....standard 3 and 1/8" diameter, looks most impressive......$70
-22-I-N-9....OIL PRESSURE GAUGE....Mfg by U.S. Gauge this is early vintage as told by its "dog ear" case (one ear cracked off) and..."snap ring" glass face...in operational condition...std 2 1/4" aircraft instrument diameter...SOLD

-47-I-N-9.......WESTON CYLINDER HEAD TEMP .....Std. 3 and 1/8" mount diameter....face ghost marking 'A.C. U.S. Army Type B-9' as installed in BT-13 and AT-6 and many other USAC/USAAF aircraft......this one is marked (19)42, although this design instrument was built for many years since it was simple and worked well.....back is marked 'Use 2 ohm leads' (the probes) and with metal Weston Instruments data plate.....upper right mounting ear has broken off.....needle is 'free' so it might still work.....fair cond.........SOLD
