CONSOLIDATED B-24 / B-24A LIBERATOR GEAR AND FLAPS IND..........Unique only to the service test model B-24 and first production run (36 planes) B-24A, this indicator is completely different than what was used in the 'hi-volume' later version Lib's...........reminiscent of an indicator from a medium bomber, not the B-24, this ind. is 3 and 1/8" diameter, has screw in instrument lighting (still installed), cannon plug connector ........ghost markings on face indicate this is a General Electric along with the parts numbers.......sale includes copy of parts book page listing this instrument for B-24/A ....used, good condition......not much left for ANY B-24's, let alone the old ones!!............$145

3-6-I-N-8......... NICHOLAS BEAZLEY ALTIMETER ......An amazingly lucky find!...this altimeter is best described by the Nicholas Beazley Airplane Co. Catalog of 1930....... " N.B. Special Altimeter - Registering 0 to 25,000 feet, an unusually accurate instrument, 3 &1/2" dial, micrometer lock screw adjustment, aluminum case"........these were undoubtably installed in N.B. airplanes as well as being sold in their large aviation only catalog........rotatable knurled bezel compensates unit for baro. adjustment.....I am at 2,900' ele. and that is exactly what this shows...... serial number in alum. case...about 1" deep and outside diameter 4.5"....good working cond................$525 |
| 4-27-I-N-8........US GAUGE MANIFOLD PRESSURE ......... built by US Gauge of NY.......phantom Maltese Cross on face of gauge....standard 3 and 1/8" diameter face with metal manufacture stamp attached to rear of case...unit has unique lighting system with standand 3 O'clock position screw in light bulb (included), but illuminates BEHIND the face and reflects around entire face!.....I can almost feel the rumble of the P&W pulling the Staggerwing along in the darkness!...these were also used in sets of two for the early Lockheed P-38's...... fine working condition, many have a WWII overhaul/inspection tag affixed....guess who bought this last inventory!!....circa 1930's..........$85 |

6-47-I-N-8..... VOUGHT F4U CORSAIR TACHOMETER......General Electric (electric) tachometer, standard 3 and 1/8" dia......cannon plug connection at rear of case....for each 1000 rpm, the hand rotates around face once, and small dial at '9' o-clock position indicates rpm 1000's.......white markings on black face.........ghost markings on face read 'BU. Aero US Navy'.......metal data tag on side of case....inst. about 5" long.....I have no idea if this works, but its pretty neat anyway....fair condition.......SOLD

8-48-I-N-8....... GRUMMAN F6F HELLCAT WATER INJECTION TANK GAUGE........Part of the ADI system for the mighty P&W R-2800 radial engine was this gauge, indicating water tank capacity.......gauge is std. 2 and 1/4" dia. mount, three prong connector at rear of case, metal data plate on rear of case.....new old stock in perfect condition........I don't know if it works......beautiful verified HELLCAT fighter part......$70

10-47-I-N-8..... HIGH RANGE FUEL PRESSURE C-13 ......As was used in the Lockheed P-38 and various other USAC/USAAF...... Working fuel pressure gauge 0-25 PSI with 1/8" NPT female fittings at rear of case for fuel pressure and static air vent pressure... standard 2 and 1/4" diameter with snap ring retainer for glass.....face marked A.C.U.S. ARMY TYPE C-13.....marked(19)42 on metal ID tag at rear of case..mfg. Electric Autolite Co.....interesting modification was piece of black tape very neatly cut out and painted markes from 26 to 20 PSI for gauge, something that probably would be frowned upon by modern mechanics......fair/good looking original WWII unit in working condition.......$44
