BOEING B-29 FLAP INDICATOR ....Large 3 and 1/8" face diameter indicator model 8DJ17 sat prominently on the left side of the co-pilot's instrument panel (so the Captain could keep tabs on it too!) electrically indicated the degree angle of wing-flaps selected on the mighty 'SuperFort' ...many will agree this was the single most feared weapon of WWII when teamed up with its nuclear bombload.........own a piece of this mighty bomber ...have a few available all in very good condition......$55each ****Whats that white mark at the bottom of the glass? - its called a 'witness line' and was used whenever an instrument had markings painted on the glass, such as B-29 flap indicators usually were.....if the glass became loose and rotated in the case, and the redline moved, the pilots would (hopefully) see it before they tried to 'drop the flaps at 300 mph, ripping them off the wings!**** |

7-50-I-N-7........MARTIN PBM-3
MARINER FUEL GAUGE, NEW OLD STOCK......Some 1200+ of these graceful WWII seaplanes were built, and used continuously up into the Vietnam era, yet few parts exist....here is a new old stock fuel gauge with the yellow USN acceptance stamps and metal data plate on the case........ Liquidometer measures 7 different fuel tank positions with the twist of the knob......each tank position 'flips' the fuel gauge in the window of this intrument to another needle and gauge face which is marked to correspond with the knob........very complex and interesting way to save space in a crowded instrument panel ........note the tanks are identified such as 'center hull' and' left bomb bay'........internally lit gauge has yellow markings on faces and silver markings on front, quite attractive....untested, but complete and excellent condition ...comes with photocopied page showing this part number installation in the PBM-3........$225 |

8-47-I-N-7... 2 NEW OLD STOCK B-12 ALTIMETERS ........... US Gauge non-sensitive altimeter!!.ghost matlses cross on face......reads 0-20,000'.. ( I am at 2900' elev.)....attractive silver and tan numbers with "A.C. U.S. Army" on excellent face....dated (19)42 ...........data tag and acceptance stamp on back....remarkably,still sealed up with the original red fabric tape and the original altimeter correction card with handwritten results and altimeter serial number is still attached......standard 3 and 1/8 diameter mount..........( you will need to have them tested an calibrated- has been stored in a sealed moisture proof container for 62 years!)...working condition...selling these rwo as a set for tandem aircraft installation with need for matching altimeters......clean face as new old stock, but tan numbers have darkened with age.. set of two original new old stock B-12's with correction tags........$395
***The corrections tag if off another one of these altimeters, I have not peeled the tape open on these altimeters, but both match within 100' altitude*** |

9-8-I-N-7........GRUMMAN F6F HELLCAT FUEL GAUGE ...........Correct PN# fuel gauge for the mighty 'Cat ......Unique single 3 and 1/8" dia mount gauge has 3 indicators within it.....just doesn't look like toomuch gas for a thirsty R-2800 to me........General Electric with metal data plate on rear of case......used fair condition, comes with copied page showing this part number installed in the Hellcat....very hard to find....$115 |
10-45-I-N-7.......US GAUGE AIRSPEED KNOTS .... WWII era aispeed calibrated in knots was undoubtably a USN unit.......possibly N3N?......standard 3 and 1/8" dia. with US Gauge metal data tag on rear of case....indicates from 50 KTS to 200 KTS........(knots are bigger then mph for all of us 'old school' guys).....working and in excellent condition except flecked off paint on pointer.......(may be new old stock)........$75 |
