-4-I-N-6.......KOLLSMAN SCOUT ALTIMETER ......Kollsman's first series of instruments after WWII, made to compete with the flood of surplus instruments from the US Military, the strictly civilian 'Scout' series graced the panels of several late 1940's planes such as various Aeronca, Luscombe, Taylorcraft...well built...this 6 'o' clock set, sensitive altimeter with baro. set 'Kollsman window' is quite handsome......standard 3 and 1/8" dia. mount, and about 4" deep......off-white markings on face indicate this altimeter is certified up to 20,000'.....the bad news is that while this altimeter works, it does not work properly, it seems to stick at its highest altitude (we are at 2,900' msl here)......set knob is tight, but works....the good news is that the face, case, and markings on this altimeter look excellent .......with overhaul, this would be an impressive instrument for your panel.......SOLD
-4-I-N-6....AERONCA / TAYLORCRAFT TACHOMETER .....Used in the Aeronca Chief and pre-war Taylorcraft, as well as some other aircraft powered with Continental flat four, this tach turns Counter Clockwise.... has red line painted on glass at 2300 ...working condition..... 'snap ring' face....should have calibration checked due to age...original right angle drive on back of case....unique '0' postion makes this a very identifiable instrument....look in an original sales brochure to see if your plane used this, they are hard to find now......good condition 1930's era........$95.

***my photo doesn't do this instrument justice, the inside of the glass is dirty, but the face is very attractive***

-5-I-N-6....1937 PIONEER TURN AND BANK .... Early std. 3 1/8" diameter turn and bank instrument built by the Pioneer Co. Brooklyn NY.....5" deep.....snap ring face with old style 'dog ears' on case....operational condition, but should be overhauled, cleaned and oiled due to age.........has a (19)37 date on face and on metal data plate affixed to top of case....note this does not have the traditional 'doghouses' on the face to indicate std. rate turn....this was the first of the 'black ball' indicators, before this, the 'steel ball' was in use ....good condition overall with flecking of yellow marking on turn needle, but otherwise clean face.........$175
-50-I-N-6.......1932 PIONEER 'STEEL' T&B ..... Very early std 3 and 1/8" diameter turn and bank instrument built by the Pioneer Co., Brooklyn NY.....has the 'silver steel ball' used only in the earliest of these instruments before changing to a black ball.....snap ring face with dog ears on the case....this one is won't spool up when vacuum is applied, I am guessing its not broken, but its bearings are sticky with old grease..has a (19)32 date on face.....black face, creme/yellow large markings, silver small markings....5" deep.....the creme markings are in good shape, but have flecked off the L-R and 'doghouse' marking on face......instrument looks in very good condition but definently needs overhaul.....SOLD

-4-I-N-6........ AEROMARINE TYPE 541 AIRSPEED......No date or tag on this one, but its an attractive looking fairly modern airpspeed that went in something pretty fast, with a redline at 228 mph.......indicates from 20-260 mph....working condition.....std. 3 and 1/8" dia....only 2.5" deep......in overall very good condition...apparently 'type 541' was Aeromarine's generic marking meaning 'airspeed indicator'.....$40
-4-I-N-6.......CESSNA SKYHAWK AIRSPEED .....Too new for me, I believe this airspeed to be from a older Cessna 172 Skyhawk......metal dataplate on rear of case is marked Cessna, with Part No. C661010 .......std. 3 and 1/8" dia. mount and about 2" deep....has Bay Avionics of Oakland, CA service tag affixed, appears dated 1977......instrument looks in very good condition and is working, althought the needle doesn't quite rest on 0....small Cessna logo on face.....only......$45

-30-I-N-6........BOEING B-17 FLYING FORTRESS AMMETER .....What a find!.......New in box old stock WWII Westinghouse E-1 Ammeter rated from 0-300 amps... original equipment in the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress......in fact each B-17 used 4 of these instrument located on the Pilot's Control Panel, located on the Captain's side-wall, ahead of the oxygen regulator and autopilot engagement controls...still in original box marked with date stamp (most are 1944-1945)....AN approval stamp on instrument..... ....I have not tested these gauges (not much around here draws 300 amps!)..face of gauge measures 3 and 1/8".... unbelievable opportunity ......original WWII new in box ....I have a few at.......$24 each
-3-I-N-6......... BENDIX / PIONEER A-8 TURN AND BANK......... Used in virtually every type of USAAF aircraft in the inventory during WWII such as the B-24, A-20, P-47 and P-51, this vacuum driven, stand diameter (3 and 1/8") turn and bank instrument is marked 'AC US ARMY A-8' on the face.....what's unique about this particular instrument, is it has both Pioneer data plate and old Beechcraft decal on it.....was overhauled after WWII, face painted instrument grey, and installed in new IFR Bonanza or Beech 18 by factory to keep the price down......good working condition.....$90
-1-I-N-6....PILOTS STANDBY COMPASS...This was mfg for military by "AirPath" Instruments in the 1950's...model AN 5766-3....2 1/4" standard instrument panel diameter "wet" compass internally lighted for night use....still holding fluid and operational....$65.
-3-I-N-6......USN BENDIX/PIONEER FOUR MINUTE VACUUM TURN AND BANK .........Usually reserved for larger aircraft, a four minute turn and bank generally indicated 'more precision' than the common 2 minute turn units.....who knows what USN aircraft this unit was installed in....standard 3 and 1/8" diameter with white markings (non luminous) on black face.......Bendix/Pioneer data plate is marked 'BuAer' US Navy........in good working condition......$65
