-42-I-N-5.... LOCKHEED C-69 CONSTELLATION CABIN AIRFLOW....... Kind of weird instrument, this std 3 and 1/8" is new old stock with red plugs still screwed in rear of case........Not sure, but I THINK its a cabin airflow indicator out of the triple tail Lockheed 4 engine transport designed prior to WWII for TWA an Pan Am, then commandeered by the USAAF during WWII ..the Connie had a sophisticated ventilation / pressurization system for the passengers...(not to mention it cruised faster than many fighters of the era)....instrument untested.....metal data tag marked A.F. 45 (USAAF 1945) Type A-1...would have been installed at the flight engineer's station.....obscure instrument in new old stock condition......$25SOLD
-47-I-N-5....... ME-262 STURMVOGEL JET FIGHTER HORIZON INSTRUMENT .......Prominently located in the simple panel of the revolutionary twin engined WWII German jet fighter, this instrument indicated the airplane's position relative to the earth........it also used a simple slip/skid indicator (ball) that helped the pilot rapidly correct for lead/lag errors while shooting his cannons at moving targets (like our B-17's)........typical of German precision, the instrument is electrically operated, has large knurled face caging knob, and simple bright face markings..... the 30' bank angle reference markings appear unique to Me-262 horizon indicators.....measures about 4.25" across, 7" deep, has data tag on read of case (written in German of course), tamper proof safety sealed case screws (has lead impressed tattle tale safety wire to determine if it has been opened, this one has not been tampered)......about 1' long electric connector that still has the original square connector attached ......instrument untested, but operates freely at rest, and the caging mechanism works properly........from 40+ year old private collection......SOLD

-8-I-N-5........VOUGHT F4U CORSAIR AIRSPEED ....Originally equipped in the famous "bent wing bird", this quality instrument was manufactured by US Gauge....airspeed rotated around the face two times to show up to 460 knots (529 MPH), which probably was exceeded more than a few times by our 'boys chasing after the meatballs'............. standard 3 and 1/8 diameter instrument with pitot static connections .......still has data tag with correct 88-1-350 part #......excellent working condition.......just this one..........SOLD
-42-I-N-5...........DOUGLAS DC-3 GAS GAUGE .....Think your fuel bills are bad??......fill up this twin engine Douglas with 623 gallons of 100 octane!...... Original Liquidometer 24V electric fuel gauge stands almost 6" tall and weighs about 3 lbs........this type of gauge is unique in that when you rotate the knob on the lower front of the case, the entire gas gauge and needle assembly 'flip' over to the next gauge - truly 3 gauges in 1.........there is no mistaking what tank you are looking at.....reverse of case has original metal Liquidometer tag, and original 1940's era TWA decal ....untested, but gauges 'flip' properly and in overall good condition.......L&R tanks each hold 211 gallons, the aux tank holds 201 gallons.......$115

-50-I-N-5........B-17 REMOTE COMPASS INDICATOR.......This actually is called a 'Gyro Flux Gate Compass Master'....it had a remote gyro. located in the airplane that eliminated turning erros, and it has a provision to compensate for magnetic variation, so the crew could fly oriented to True North instead of Magnetic North,...... got it?.......this system was simply too large and complicated for smaller aircraft such as fighters and short range attack/transport aircraft, so only th B-17's, B-24's and other long range heavy planes had them........this instrument is NOT a standard size, its in fact very large, measuring some 6" across the front and 7" long, it's also quite heavy at 7 pounds..........excellent condition, may still be functional, untested .......very impressive instrument...have 2 left...$95 each
-10-I-N-5.....GRUMMAN F6F HELLCAT WATER TANK GAUGE......Perfect new old stock 2 and 1/4" dia. mount water injection tank gauge for the indomitable Grumman Hellcat.....the large P&W R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine could produce even more power for short durations when water/methanol was injected into the carburetor.....this gauge indicated how much more 'go-juice' was left in the tank.....General Electric gauge has inked yellow USN acceptance stamp...ID number on data tag verifies this is for the Hellcat, I'll send you my confirmation codes......untested, but hey, its still new.......$85
-47-I-N-5......NOS US GAUGE FUEL PRESSURE HIGH RANGE...... Original new old stock US Gauge WWII vintage fuel pressure gauge still has factory aluminum plug screwed in rear of case......2 and 1/4 " standard diameter with trademark 'Maltese Cross' stamp on back of case along with metal data tag........case-face-needle all in near perfect condition.......dog eared case with snap ring retainer..has female 1/8" NPT fitting...glass could use internal cleaning to make this look new........SOLD
-10-I-N-5...... DOUGLAS A-26B INVADER FUEL GAUGE ......This is the correct fuel gauge for the Douglas twin eningined attack bomber.......the -B model was the version with all the .50 cal's in the nose......quite attractive General Electric 3 and 1/8" stdf mount fuel gauge compact design measured 3 tanks in this single gauge ....metal data plate on rear of case and 7 pin cannon plug connector.......instrument untested but in excellent condition, face looks new......$95

-45-I-N-5......HYD. SYSTEM PRESS. GAUGE..SOLD
-43-I-N-5......LOCKHEED P-38 LIGHTNING FUEL GAUGE ......Original excellent condition LIQUIDOMETER EA108-XXXX std 2 and 1/4 fuel gauge with data tag attached to rear of case and paper ID tag......been sitting on a shelf since WWII waiting to be installed in a P-38......untested, but appears in excellent condition......comes with photocopied page from original USAAF procurement-code manual showing this exact instrument for use in the P-38.........hard to find in this condition....$195
