-8-I-N-3........P-51 MUSTANG AIRSPEED INDICATOR.......Measured up to a whopping 700 mph........Lackner type F-2 with original data tag on rear of case, dated AF42........here you can see this instrument installed in a P-51B model (photo not included)......instrument has white slip indicator and yellow marking on face.......looks in very good original condition but does not work properly (needle comes to rest at various speeds)........original USAAF fighter airspeed for........$125
-7-I-N-3.......LOCKHEED B-37 'VENTURA' GAS GAUGE........ Sale includes copy from US Military parts manual showing the installationof this gauge.....electric 24V Liquidometer, std 3 and 1/8" mount......inside of glass is dirty, otherwise excellent condition...another obscure bomber/patrol plane of WWII......$65
-8-I-N-3.......CURTISS P-40 WARHAWK AIRSPEED.......Bendix purchased Pioneer and produced these airspeeds under the Pioneer name during WWII......std. 3 and 1/8" dia. mount, needles wraps around 'twice' to indiacte up to 500 MPH......(the never exceed speed in the P-40 was 480 mph).........working condition with data tag on rear of case.......light corrosion on face, overall good shape.........SOLD

-9-I-N-3......... VOUGHT F4U-1 CORSAIR FUEL ..... Liquidometer electrically operated (24V) gas gauge that sat in the panel of the mighty 'Bent wing bird' made famous by Pappy Boyington........standard 2 and 1/4" diameter with yellow markings on the face.....data plate and cannon plug on rear of case....very good condition, this gauge probably logged hundreds of hours in the Corsair....have a few of 'em, some have all yellow markings on the face(pictured here), some with silver and yellow markings on the face, your choice...ORIGINAL...$40

-11-I-N-3......... GRUMMAN TBM/TBF AVENGER APN-1 RADIO ALTITUDE INDICATOR .......Obscure instrument apparently unique to the Grumman TBM/TBF of WWII, this was part of a sophisticated (for WWII) system that sent a radar signal from the plane to the ground, and determined how high the plane was......indicated in 2 ranges as adjusted by the upper right knob (mechanically 'flips' indication) shows from 0' to 4000' height......we forget how complex this Grumman torpedo bomber was, it had ASB search radar, APN radar height, autopilot, IFF equipment..........I have a few of these ASB-1 indicators, so marked on the metal data plate on the rear of the case........built by GE, these are std. 3 and 1/8" mount......ghost markings on front of face ....new old stock in the original box.....untested......sold with photocopies from original TBM manual showing this instrument and explaining its operation........original WWII .... as new ...$75 each

****Look to the FAR RIGHT of the Grumman TBM instrument panel, and you can see this instrument****

-44-I-N-3.......WWII GERMAN STUKA TURN & BANK ......Simple presentation electric t&b was a trademark of some German aircraft, including the JU-87 Stuka German dive bomber......this instrument is actually two simple instruments in the same housing......the 'needle' at the top was gyroscope driven, and indicated when the plane was in a turn......the 'ball' worked on the same principle as a carpenter's level, except it indicates if the plane is 'slipping or skidding' throught the air----flying sideways.....extra useful to the accuracy of a dive-bombing mission .....standard diameter of 3 and 1/8" face, but 6" long and quite heavy for this type instument....rear of case has German data tag marked 'Elektr Wendezeiger' and odd (to us Yankees) two prong electric plug connector for power ..correctly marked on tag as type Fl 22412..... 'ball' in working condition, and the 'needle' may still work too, not tested, but gauge is not tampered and appears in very good condition.......sale comes with photo of this instrument installed in the panel of a WWII German JU-87 Stuka..........$250
