-7-I-N-11 ...............USAF ABU-9/A .......Not often seen, the ABU-9 series clock is similar to the ABU-11, but is wired to light up internally in (red light only)..I think these clocks were the follow on to the A-13...8 day wind-up mechanical clock has elapsed time function (minutes and seconds) in addition to clock....std. 2 and 1/4" mount.....has overhaul decal dated (19)70 PNCLA (Pensacola USN NARF).....also has USN label with same date, marked 'free of radioactivity' ........clock seems to keep fine time......I am sure a good internal oiling would have this clock running fine another 40 years!.......yours for $195
-47-I-N-11 ........ US NAVY WALTHAM 3 AND 1/8" CDIA. EIGHT DAY CLOCK.......With US Navy Anchor inked stamp on rear of case, this Civil Date Indicator, Aeronautical clock is standard sized for installation in instrument panel, and ghost marked 'Bu Aero' on face........I had this particualr clock overhauled by my 'stickler' old clock repaiman, who charged me $290 to completely overhaul this Waltham to new condition......has new old stock pivot, jewel, bearing boss, staff, balance, etc,etc,...........the face, case, knob, and all markings are unrestored originals ....... masterpiece clock is destined to run for a very long time ........works like new........ type clock was used in PBY,PB4Y,TBM, PBM, some F6F ..... $425

-9-I-N-11........KOLLSMAN SCOUT NON-SENSITIVE ALTIMETER.......Excellent looking Kollsman Scout non-sensitive with 6'o' clock set knob, Kollsman window, reads from 0-15,000 feet....if you don't already know, the Scout series by Kollsman was the first Post WWII attempt by instrument maker Kollsman to compete with the giant surplus inventory of instruments....the Scout had to be worthwhile to compete....instrument is std. 3 and 1/8" dia. mount, white markings on black background, and a fairly short case..circa late 1940's....numerous post WWII types used these as new equipment, Cessna 120/140, Luscombe, Taylorcraft, etc....the good news is this altimeter is in excellent condition with only very light scratches on the face glass, otherwise appearing as new......altimeter is in working condition, but is not calibrated correctly.....it shows near sea level here, but we are at 2900' elev. so it defienently needs calibration.......hard to find in this condition......$110

-46-I-N-11......... RAF TURN/SLIP INDICATOR MK-1a CIRCA 1941........ From some Royal Air Force aircraft (everything British used these from Tiger Moth to Spitfire)..... 4 and 1/4" diameter turn and slip indicactor face ......unique to us Yankee's due to the use of a pointer instead of more common 'carpenter level' ball within a glass to indicate if the plane is slipping or skidding.........has white and creme markings on black background face with patent numbers, some part numbers, and the traditional British way of marking particular parts with fine white brushed markings .....slide/slip indicator works, vacuum connection for turn indicator still taped off (un-tested)............face markings still clean, case, glass and rim all in very good condition .........$295
-20-I-N-11.......GRAY FACE 'BONANZA' DIRECTIONAL GYRO ....Another item to fall under the 'whatsit??' category, this is a WWII JAHCO (Jack and Heintz Company of Ohio) original WWII suction gyro (marked AN 5735-1), these were inspected/overhauled after WWII and during that time the faces were re-painted grey with white markings...... this was done for a civilan aircraft manufacturer ( most likely Beechcraft for their Bonanza).... although the case paint looks 'flakey' and not too good, the markings in the face of the instrument where they would protrude through the panel look almost like new.. attractive CAGED warning flag is bright red and only shows when set knob is used.... working condition gyro. sounds very smooth when spun up, but set knob 'sticky'......it could use a good cleaning/re-oiling before use.......standard gyro size, face measures 2 and 7/8" across.... original manufacturer sticker on case....$90

-5-I-N-11.......WALTHAM A-7 CLOCK.......Good 6 'o'clock set 8 day wind-up Waltham.......these clocks were first made in the 1930's and some ended up in WWII Military aircraft as well.......face is marked 'Waltham 8 Days, A-7, Made in USA...standard 2 and 1/4" diameter mount...clock in fair condition, wound up-tight, but doesn't run......I think it needs a good cleaning and face freshening.......$80

-5-I-N-11..NORTH AMERICAN B-25J MITCHELL AIRSPEED INDICATOR.....US Gauge Type F-2A airspeed was originally intended for fighters such as the P-51D and P-47's, but many found there way into the cockpits of later model B-25's and B-17's, as surplusses and standardization with the USAAF made these more common...this particular gauge has original painted markings on the face...note the 'redline' is 340 mph, the redline of the B-25 (maximum dive speed).......the flap speed is marked as the 'white arc' on the gauge, and the 'top of the white' is the maximum speed the flaps may be lowered, marked here at 170 mph, this is what the B-25 was limited at.......gauge is in working condition and standard 3 and 1/8" dia. mount........reverse has factory/USAAF contract data plate indicating this is a 1945 instrument.........$110

****let me know when you order this, I will photocopy the page from the B-25 manual showing these speed limitations****
