-45-I-N-1.......JONES TACHOMETER, NEW IN BOX......OK antiquers, your instrument prayers have been answered, sorta......this is a brand new original, in the box 4" face Jones tachometer circa mid-late 1920's .... and yes its in excellent condition...........the only catch is this tach is actually a tachometer testing unit, intended to verify actual RPM of installed engines, versus other tach readings.......as such, it has a smooth case (no dog ear mounts) and the tach drive is a unique set of 6 different adaptors made to 'push on' the end of the drive assy. and fit whatever the installation......all of this is neatly stored away in a fancy lined, wooden box finished in leatherette .....the tach. indicates from 0-2500 RPM, and not surprisingly, runs and feels like new when turned.....snap ring glass cover attractive creme/black face......face marked ' RPM in Hundreds, JONES TACHOMETER, Patented, Jones Motrola, Stamford, Conn.,USA'....black case is metal and stamped on reverse with serial number....still has clean grease inside.....I am convinced this tach could be modified/adapted for your antique airplane panel, and it doesn't need to be rebuilt, its new in box.......$295

-1-I-N-1...........'CAT EAR' WALTHAM TACH .... As removed from a friend's J-3 Cub, this tach is the older style Waltham with tab mounts, and white non-luminous markings on black background........ threaded for standard mechanical drive..........3 and 1/8" face.......case, face, and glass all in very good condition, but this tach. is in need of repair before use (yep, thats why it was removed from the Cub) ........the indicator needle is missing, glass is loose, and the drive seems hard to turn (un-scientifically tested)...... so if you need spare parts, or just can't find one and have a good instrument shop, this is just the ticket for you at .....$20

-37-I-N-1........OXYGEN BLINKER, P-51 MUSTANG, P-47 THUNDERBOLT.........Original to most WWII era aircraft capable of flying into the stratosphere(above 30,000 '), these gauges would slowly "blink" yellow then black to indicate that oxygen was still flowing to the mask, precluding the deadly effects of hypoxia.....ingenious in design, these seem much higher quality then what modern airliners use.....standard 2 and 1/4" diameter...some manufactured 1942 by Delco Radio, a division of General Motors, builders of numerous WWII planes.....have several in good used condition........$19

-10-I-N-1....RANCO MANIFOLD PRESSURE GAUGE.....AC Type D-10....here is a nice 3 and 1/8" engine manifold pressure gauge with light yellow markings against black background.......works very smoothly and seems accurate (I am at 3000' MSL)...appears to have last been checked/certified in 1962......has standard threaded AN fitting at read of case.....I am not sure, but believe this gauge to be a late 1940's era instrument... note white slip ring line painted at bottom of glass as per milspec, it was probably installed in a Dehavilland Beaver or similar.....$45

-2-I-N-1.......P-51 MUSTANG AIRPSEED......The highest reading airspeed indicator in the US inventory of WWII was reserved for only the fastest of US Fighters such as the P-51 Mustang, late model P-38 Lightning and some P-47 Thunderbolts......3 and 1/8" dia. instrument indicates from 0 to 700 MPH......rear of instrument has data plate, dated 1942, and pitot/static connections ....not working, and has broken face glass...Bendix/Pioneer Corp. of New Jersey.....$65

|
-45-I-N-1......PIONEER VACUUM T & B WWII ........Pioneer/Bendix vacuum driven turn and bank with attractive yellow face markings........standard 3 and 1/8" diameter........glass, face, case in good shape...ghost marked on face AC US Army , Type A-6, dated 1940.....metal data tag on case.... interesting to see the 'dog houses' on this unit point outward, not upward as with most later indicators........since the 'dog-houses' (actually standard rate turn indicators) were not completely common on turn and banks yet, I suspect this was one of the few US Military designs to incorporate this yet, and probably was meant for something that might actually fly on instruments such as a transport plane or bomber.....also has socket and plug for instrument lighting in upper right hand corner, but plugged with wax 'dum-dum' as was standard procedure then even from factories....in working condition......$70
