Published bi-monthly by Columbia Pub. of NY, (who published various aviation mag's of the 1940's).....various sets of blueprints for building flying wood models, and display wood models such as the North American XB-45 Toronado jet, the 4 engine bomber.....also the Weatherly Colt, an attractive US Civil taildragger that looks like a bigger Luscombe 8.......large photos of current military equipment such as the Ryan XF2R-1 'Dark Shark' and North American XFJ-1 jet.....talk about wild looking, what about that Curtiss XF15C-1 fighter!.....8.5" x 11" with 66 pages in good condition.......SOLD |

5-1-B-O-3..... AIR PROGRESS, AIR TRAILS ANNUAL FOR 1938 ...... Air Progress merged/bought out Air Trails somewhere in the late 1930's and the two worthwhile magazines produced this annual edition 'Catalog of Aviation' for 1938.....all the good stuff' is in here, like the original 'small tail' B-17 (no tail turret), the Piper Cub with a ONE BLADED propeller (Everall), famous Seversky Sev-3 with Major Alexander P. Seversky standing next to it, cockpit photo of a Pan American Martin Clipper (wow), the record maker Bristol 138A monoplane that carried pilot Swain to 50,000' altitude in a pressure suit (remember this was 1938!).....Howard DG-8 Mr. Finnegan, Lee Miles Racer, I could go on and on.......(I have one of these annual Air Progress in my own collection).......8.5" by 11" with 96 pages in good condition, has wear to covers and tape on spine (the last guy who had this magazine liked it too)..SOLD |
