| 2-15-B-O-2..."WE" 1927 FIRST EDITION...Very difficult today to find an original 1927 first edition of Chas Lindberghs epic "WE" written by him just after the flight...this 318 page book went into over 30 printings in the next few years...the original 1927 first edition is a rare and valuable aero book today...conditon is used and not perfect..but good...we have a very few first editions available at... $55 (and a few 1927/28 subsequent editions available at $20) |

3-7-B-O-2........'ACE OF TEST PILOTS ' ....Dashing heroes, brave piloting, amazing antics......its all in here!...Pat Nelson, ace of test pilots was another installment of the 'big little books' (same series as Tailspin Tommy and Smilin Jack)........425 pages of pulp fiction novel with gripping illustrations on every page!......here we see the panic stricken pilot noticing ice forming on his wings......pocket sized 4.5 by 3.5" book is in good shape, showing some wear on covers..... dated 1937.......written and illustrated by Dougal Lee....fun....$19

4-2-B-O-2.....INTERNATIONAL AERONAUTICS, NOV. 1923.........Cover photo of US Navy Pulitzer Race Winner biplane turning over pylon.......monthly magazine was published in New York Cirt, but had affiliates around the world......approx. 40 page sofcover publication was written very much like a newspaper, with numerous short articles on many up to date topics, such as: 'Fairchild Photo plane makes night flight'......The use of helium in Dirigibles' .....the St. Loius Air Meet'.......I see two sheets (4 pages) are missing, must have been a good article!......some b&w photos, various advertisements......classified ad section with stuff I haven't heard of like 'Lorraine-Dietrich 8 cyl. water cooled aviation engines'......very good condition....$25

5-2-B-O-2.....AVIATION AGE, JULY 1951 .....This magazine is in fair condition with loose cover, and wear to edges.......the reason why?........I think I know......this has go to be one of the most FUN reading magazines I have picked up in a while.......its a 'page turner'- virtually every page is loaded with a fun articale or advertisement ....McDonnell Banshee with a Holley Carburetor?? (sort of) ......Rohr 'power package (QEC)........large feature of the 'bad guys- the Red Air Force, with a directory and photos of their aircraft, structure of the Red Air Force, map, and my favorite Russian bomber, the TU-71, aka B-29ski (reverse engineered Russian rip-off of the Boeing B-29)........magazine measures 11" by 11" with 130 pages.......if you pick this up, you won't put it down for an hour.........SOLD

| 6-10-B-0-2..."AVIATION& AIRCRAFT JOURNAL" 1921...Issue of Feb 7 1921 with feature article on Gen Billy Mitchells "Startling Testimony" about rendering Navy Battleships Obsolete (the weenie admirals had him court marshalled for that...and of course he was right)...another article on the Zeppelin Staaken Airplane (you thought they only made lighter then airships didn't you?)...article on the Airship ZR-2 possibly crossing the Atlantic...some great ads for Curtiss and Martin aircraft...and more...about 30 pages of 1921 aero news and photos...$18 |

9-1-B-O-2.........AERONAUTICS AIRCRAFT SPOTTERS' HANDOOK......Edited by Ensign LC Guthman USNR.......The most coveted of the WWII era aircraft spotters handbooks, these were rapidly sold out to members of the US Ground Observer Corps., and reprinted.....this is a 1943 Second Edition.....370 page softbound book is tabbed into simple catagories such as 'six engines' (small catagory!), two engines low wing, biplanes, gyro-planes & blimps, etc......a civilian published book, there are numerous references and instructions for US Civil Defense reporting of aircraft.....looking inside the cover of this book is hand written notes of what page the B-17, B-19, B-24, B-23, B-25 etc. is shown on, presumably since the observer who owned this book in New Hampshire probably saw all of these bombers flying over his house/station....each aircraft descriptiopn is complete with spec's, dimensions, a photo/drawing, and a description of specifically what the plane looks like ....worthwhile handbook...good used cond......SOLD
