| 2-15-B-O-2..."WE" 1927 FIRST EDITION...Very difficult today to find an original 1927 first edition of Chas Lindberghs epic "WE" written by him just after the flight...this 318 page book went into over 30 printings in the next few years...the original 1927 first edition is a rare and valuable aero book today...conditon is used and not perfect..but good...we have a very few first editions available at... $55 (and a few 1927/28 subsequent editions available at $20) |

4-2-B-O-2.....INTERNATIONAL AERONAUTICS, NOV. 1923.........Cover photo of US Navy Pulitzer Race Winner biplane turning over pylon.......monthly magazine was published in New York Cirt, but had affiliates around the world......approx. 40 page sofcover publication was written very much like a newspaper, with numerous short articles on many up to date topics, such as: 'Fairchild Photo plane makes night flight'......The use of helium in Dirigibles' .....the St. Loius Air Meet'.......I see two sheets (4 pages) are missing, must have been a good article!......some b&w photos, various advertisements......classified ad section with stuff I haven't heard of like 'Lorraine-Dietrich 8 cyl. water cooled aviation engines'......very good condition....$25

5-2-B-O-2........SERVICE AND INSTRUCTION MANUAL, ARMAMENT B-24D AIRPLANE ........Most of us agree that Consolidated Aircraft had the most complete and easiest to read manuals......this manual was one of a set of 7 (or 8 depending) written for the mechanic who worked on the the B-24 Liberator.......not to be mistaken as a 'training' manual or trade school manual, it is designed for the already knowledgeable aircraft mechanic, it is specifics on working the armament systems of the bomber.......manual is marked 'Restricted' and dated Oct. 1, 1942...... prepared by the Flight and Service Dept. of Consolidated at Lindbergh field.....chapters on Bombing Equipment, Defensive Armament,gun turrets, and a long list of illustrations......roughly 180 pages of 8.5" by 11" ........this particular manual is a b&w copy of the original, I do see the last letter in the last word of a sentence is 'cut-off' on some pages but still readable, in three ring binder, good condition and cheap at ......$19.50 |
| 6-10-B-0-2..."AVIATION& AIRCRAFT JOURNAL" 1921...Issue of Feb 7 1921 with feature article on Gen Billy Mitchells "Startling Testimony" about rendering Navy Battleships Obsolete (the weenie admirals had him court marshalled for that...and of course he was right)...another article on the Zeppelin Staaken Airplane (you thought they only made lighter then airships didn't you?)...article on the Airship ZR-2 possibly crossing the Atlantic...some great ads for Curtiss and Martin aircraft...and more...about 30 pages of 1921 aero news and photos...$18 |

'44 ....Magazine published bi-monthly in New York, 'chock-full' of b&w photos of happening aviation........ features on 'Diplomatic Flights' Boeing 314 with FDR eating(!) onboard........'Aerial Incendiaries', 'RAF vs. AAF'.......'New Wings' , 'X-Marks the Plane'....... unlike some magazines of the time, this magazine is devoted soley to aviation (not just industry news) and features around 100 photos of aviation throughout......includes great photo of instrument technicians with RAF Wellington Squadron in Italy who are known as 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' each man wears a leather jeacket painted to represent each character!......66 pages, 8.5x 11" in used fair/good condition......$15 |

9-1-B-O-2.........AERONAUTICS AIRCRAFT SPOTTERS' HANDOOK......Edited by Ensign LC Guthman USNR.......The most coveted of the WWII era aircraft spotters handbooks, these were rapidly sold out to members of the US Ground Observer Corps., and reprinted.....this is a 1943 Second Edition.....370 page softbound book is tabbed into simple catagories such as 'six engines' (small catagory!), two engines low wing, biplanes, gyro-planes & blimps, etc.....5" by 7"....a civilian published book, there are numerous references and instructions for US Civil Defense reporting of aircraft........each aircraft description is complete with spec's, dimensions, a photo/drawing, and a description of specifically what the plane looks like ....worthwhile handbook..cover neatly cut at edge so tabbed aircraft portion visible with cover closed..used, good condition, but missing back cover, otherwise complete.....$24 ****I have a few of these available**** |
