The standard of information / reference of USaviation for the year........this book is signifigant in that it contained much information, and photos regarding the War Effort, photos of P-51's in final assembly, B-25 assembly lines,airborne shots of Curtiss divebombers 'finishing off' the Jap. stronghold of Wake Island, etc.etc........text includes a comprehensive listing of about any company in the US building aviation related itemes ....also included are numerous charts with facts and figures ....this particular book is stamped 'Property of US Army' and 'Special Services, Bookmobile Library Hq. Berlin District.....GI's were reading this book in occupied Germany to see what new weapons the industry was building to fight the Japanese!.........also staed is a glued in note saying this the the Official reference work in the Army and Navy!!........ this one shows some wear from just being read alot, and light soiling around the covers, but is in otherwise good shape...hardcover, 688 pages! and measures 9" tall....a must have reference for WWII enthusiasts.........SOLD

6-47-B-O-12....AIRCRAFT YEARBOOK, 1952 .......Published by the Aircraft Association of America, (which took over from the ACCA which published these from 1919 on...)...this is hardbound with 464 pages and came from major city reference library...has all the interesting aircraft of the 1951/52 period, both military and civil...like the Anderson-Greenwood...Cessna 170 and 195...Convair 340...Lockheed Super Constellation...Piper Pacer...Boeing B-47...Convair RB-36...Douglas Syraider...Grumman Panther...and many more...photo's, three view drawing and specifications on all these...plus all the civil and military news and records set for the year...plus a ton of other 1951/52 aero info and photos....all for...SOLD

8-47-B-O-12....AIRCRAFT YEAR BOOK 1951 ....Hardbound(no dustjacket) 464 page aircraft yearbook with photos and specs on all the weird and wonderful aircraft of that period....like the Douglas Skyshark...Convair XP5Y-1 turboprop flying boat 'Tradewind'..and the McCulloh tandem rotor helicopter (kinda cute, looks like a mini Boeing CH-47)...civil, military and airline news for 1951 in here...hundreds of photos....marked 'reference section' Los Angeles Co. Library, but this book is in very good condition, mustn't have been looked through much.......too bad, since its fun reading.......SOLD
