XXL SAGE GREEN FLIGHT SUIT .....New Old Stock flight suit is marked XXL, and is 65% polyesters & 35% 'baumwolle' which is apparently a term from Southern United States meaning 'cotton'......no other markings on this suit, but it has zippered chect pockets, leg pockets, arm pocket, blank velcro patchs (for sewing your squadron onto) ......arm cuffs and leg cuffs zippered and velcroed.......arm pit ventilation holes....looks both wide and tall, for a big guy(or gal)......pretty nice looking suit in excellent unused condition...........$35

5-54-D-M-5.......BOEING B-47 STRATOJET DRONE USAF 'PARTIAL' FLIGHT MANUAL..........Dated 1 March 1960, manual is for the QB-47E, a classified project in which the USAF converted 14 of these bombers to remote piloted drone aircraft to test/operate ? on the Bomarc missile program for use as drones, or flights too dangerous for humans......what's peculiar about this manual, it was written for the radio control pilot of the plane, but it looks like it could have been utilized from within the craft as well......numerous checklist and computation sheets in this manual are ment to be cutout and used for flight..partial color and cockpit photos.....manual is marked " incomplete without TO 1B-47(R)E-1 ........this one is for the more standard 'crew' bomber........fairly eerie manual of unmanned nuclear capable bomber used in nuclear air to air missile program of some 49 years ago.......in large 3 ring binder and excellent new old stock original condition....(binder shows scuffing)........... $145

6-29-D-M-5....... GRUMMAN A-6E INTRUDER DATA PLATE...... With a design dating back to 1957, and still in use today, you know 'its gotta be good!'.....the Grumman Intruder twin engine carrier-born attack bomber that this original data plate was attached to is now in the scrapyard.........aluminum 2" by 4" plate acid etched with Grumman Aerospace Corporation and logo, stamped with Manf'r mdel, serial ##, date (this plane built in '79) and contract ##.......strangely no military serial ## (BuNo) is stamped on this plate, who used it??....plate was solidly riveted to the airframe......plate part number on zinc chromated reverse side....original.......$95

7-26-D-M-5..........US MILITARY MODERN B-8 GOGGLES .......I made an amazing discovery the other, day!......the original late WWII era Type B-8 goggles are still in production today by the US Military!.......take a look at the new goggles here in the plastic bag, they are original US Military, made in Michigan goggles that are the same thing produced in WWII!........even the box is similar, (B-8 box and goggles shown for comparison).comes with 1 each clear and neutral gray lens set....... snaps in as per the WWII version........the only difference I can see is the new goggles use foam instead of a chamois lining ........new in the box, original and made in the USA for current US Military with numerous acceptance codes all over the box......limited quantities....each pair......$35

 

 

8-22-D-M-5........ AIRCRAFT NAVIGATIONAL PLOTTING BOARD MARK 3A.........Bu Aero US Navy.. Amazing 'pre GPS' piece of navigational equipment, board measures large 15.5" by 13", made of plastic, 2 'computers' put together......the large white circle is a 2 sided plotting wheel that takes magnetic variation into consideration ... smaller white 'computer' is a Mark 8-A US NAVY computer similar to the WWII E-6B type....board is marked as 'Aircraft Navigational Ploitting Board, Part no. FNA-4 Bu. Aero US Navy...... used by the Navigator to assist in dead reckoning navigation problems... circa 1950 in new old stock condition.....clear plastic is slightly warped from age, but documented with original stamps, new old stock (came in boxes of 10 each)...I found more!......each.....$15

9-20-D-M-5.........DOUGLAS B-26K COUNTER INVADER ENGINE DATA PLATE.....Interesting history of the Douglas twin engine attack bomber .....conceived and built in WWII, it replaced the Martin B-26, then was later sold off as surplus by the US Govt........but when the need arose for a heavy counter insurgency aircraft during the Vietnam 'conflict', the US Govt. contracted with a US civilian company to modify some 40 of the planes they had kept.......the B-26K was born, and had some important modifications, one of which was the more powerful R-2800-52W P&W radial of 2500 horsepower..... this original data plate is from one such engine....even more interesting, it was a license built Nash-Kelvinator Corp. engine under Air Force contract ......measures 3" by 4", mdae of brass and plated, with Nash emblem (yeah, the 'Nash that built those little cars!)........quite attractive in used, good condition......$55

10-43-D-M-5......DOUGLAS C-54 'SKYMASTER' COMPASS MOUNT......Unique and esoteric item found only in the DC-4 / C-54 series, this synthetic material mount held a stand B-16 type compass, was non-metallic, and attached to the plane via three bungees to make it vibration proof......mount stands about 7" tall, and is new old stock with grey paint applied to the face.......original.....SOLD
