-26-D-M-4....USAF AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION PLOTTER, 1950'S....All the Air Force Jet Jocks had one or more of these Navigational Plotters USAF type B-2A...very heavy plastic 4 x 15 inch with three map scales plus compass rose 0-360 degrees plus inch scale...the map scales are for both WAC and SECTIONAL air charts...have several of these in new-old stock condition still sealed in 1950's dated foil Air Force pouches...one of the best made air nav plotters you will ever see...and you can own one for...$19.
-54-D-M-4......... USAF C-135 A/B FLIGHT MANUAL ....... Dated 15 Nov, 1964, this complete flight manual (minus front and rear covers) is for the Boeing C-135.......an interesting airplane by many accounts, it of course was later modified into the KC-135, the backbone of our aerial refueling fleet, but the C-135 was a modified B-707, but it had a shorter and narrower fuselage......the -B had turbofan engines which apparently worked so well, they are still in use in this form today.....this plane first flew 53 years ago!...... flight manual is almost 2" thick, and measures 85.x11" ........ typical Boeing, the manual is very well done with numerous color charts and graphs.......very complete in all aspects of flying and operating this classic jet.......very good condition original......$125

-15-D-M-4.......SAMPSON AFB PILLOW CASE ....... Another USAF base that is now 'just history', apparently this operated near Genva, NY from only 1951 to 1956, in WWII it was a Naval Training Station...now its a park....silk pillow case measures about 18" by 20"in excellent condition with a few small stains on the reverse......looks like Sampson had T-33's and F-86's .....poem of friendship in the center.....probably only available on the base PX......$25

-16-D-M-4....AIRBORNE PARATROOPER STATIC LINE SNAP....Used by Airborne Assult Paratroopers when they "hooked up" to the static line ripcord before they jumped out doorway of C-47...used from WW11 to Nam, these heavy steel static line snaps about 5x1 1/2" and close with a satisfying "Snap".....I have been advised by a paratrooper thats this type snap has finally been superceded after about 60 years in service.....we have many available...lay one on your desk and yell "Geronimo".....$9.
-50-D-M-4.......GRUMMAN S2F SUB-HUNTER CONTROL WHEEL .........Co-Pilot's side wheel complete with 4 push-buttons and 'coolie-hat' trim switch (4 way switch).....all buttons and switch work........aluminum wheel measures 1' across and has some part numbers on reverse......the twin engine Grumman 'Stoof' as it is affectionately known, has signifigance in California since its operated by the California Dept. of Forestry as a firebomber......they still use 'em with turboprops instead of the Curtiss Wright Cyclones......wheel is completely original as removed and in good, used condition..........$295

-33-D-M-4.........GRUMMAN S2F-1.........Toppings Model (Akron Ohio) of early 1950's....... Bill Topping used elaborate moveable molds when building these models, and produced a detailed model made of few parts, as opposed to modern models which have hundreds of parts .....also, Topping used injection molded plastic of the correct color-----its not paint on the plastic, it is the plastic ..........the result is a very strong and durable model that could withstand a scratch or even be dropped and not be broken.........long gone, Toppings' models are quite collectable as attested to the fact that these were frequently seen on the desks of Generals, Commanding Officers, even aircraft manufacturers (like Grumman) and the Pentagon! ....this model is a Grumman S2F-1 Sub-Killer (not politically correct, as it should be!)........as marked on base of the clear plexiglass stand, along with Grumman name and logo..........measures large 21" wingspan, with clear plastic windshield, Us Military marking decals (in excellent condition), 70 million candlepower spot-light on wing, metal prop hubs, magnetic anomoly detector (MAD) detector on tail.......stand is quite heavy and allows the airplane to rotate for desired position.......marked 'Topping Models' in small raised lettering under plane.....VERY attractive plane is glossy blue (the plastic is so shiny it looks like waxed paint)....overall excellent condition...some sources indicate this had rotating propellers when new, but I can't verify.......from the Aldrich collection ... ..............(hey I can't keep everything!) ........$245

***supposedly, this same model is on display at the Navy Museum in Washington DC***
