5-20-D-C-7......LOCKHEED CONSTELLATION 1049 ENGINE DATA PLATE........3" by 5" stainless steel data plate was affixed to the massive Curtiss Wright Turbo-Compound 18 cylinder radial.. model #988TC18EA3 that powered the civil Constellation Model 1049, USAF C-121C, and Navy R7V-1....the sexy looking triple tail 4 engine Lockheed was about the pinnacle of the 'prop-transports'....engine produced 3,400 horspepower for takeoff and burned 115-145 octane avgas......data plate contains identification for this particular engine (which is long gone, this is all thats left of it).....includes paperwork showing this model engine installed in the 'Connie'....very good condition.....SOLD

The label features the SAS logo. The large triangular shaped label measures 100 by 119 mm (3 7/8 by 4 7/8 inches). The label is in outstanding condition. The label is gummed and in excellent condition...... mid 1950's......$15
