1-17-D-C-5......CAL POLY CHARTER GRANT 1949 ....San Luis Obispo,California......one of aviation's premier aviation maintenance and repair colleges after WWII, Cal-Poly had its own runway and hangar with numeorus planes ....this 9" by 12" plaque was presented by the Institute of Aeronautical Sciences to Cal-Poly Student Branch...... paper document covered in plastic (peeling at corners) and mounted on wooden board.....far more impressive in your office than your Masters Degree.............$5
4-7-D-C-5......NORTHWEST AIRLINES LABEL ......This original label for Northwest Airlines is in mint condition. There are no defects of any kind. The label is gummed and the gum is pristine. The old-time label is in red, white and blue. The circular label measures 83 mm (3 1/4 inches) in diameter. An absolutely choice and early label for Northwest. I am not sure of the year, but guesssing late '40's to mid '50's.........NWA has been in business since 1934...........$10
5-8-A-D-C-5....PILOTS LOGBOOK FLYING TAYLORCRAFT 1947/48...Flying out of old Harry Wilsons field near Memphis, pilot Ralph Williamson logged a lot of time in Taylorcrafts NC95219, NC26571, NC26660, NC52525, and even a little Vultee time in NC1407M...over one hundred hours of 1947/48 flight time logged in this vintage pilots logbook...$12
7-25-D-C-5..........NORTHWEST AIRLINES ORIENT HAT SOUVENIR......Boardering on "tacky" this depiction of Northwest's Pacific region routings also doubled as a Asian style hat to be worn with an elastic strap over the chin!.........no doubt any vacationers seen stepping into the Hong Kong terminal wearing these were instantly pegged as "stupid tourists"!......Northwest's Boeing 707 is shown on the hat making this a late 1950's early 1960's item.....in good shape.....only $11

LANSEAIR / TWA TRAVEL BROCHURE .......Interesting original travel brochure with complete itinerary for a trip from New York to Cairo via Lisborn Madrid and Rome ......two sided paper brochure includes plastic cover and measures 9" by 12" with dates beginning Wed., Jan. 31 through Fri., March 2.........price was a 'hefty' $2,275..... circa 1952.....numerous mention of TWA and images of their Lockheed Constellation.....good cond ....$15
9-25-D-C-5......LOCKHEED SUPER CONSTELLATION ENGINE DATA PLATE...... Curtiss Wright R-3350 model 988TC18EA2 eighteen cylinder behemoth was unique to the Lockheed 'SuperStar' model 1649 Super Constellation.......only 44 of these gorgeous aircraft were built.......the C-W radial engine that powered them had a special prop gear reduction ratio that turned the engine slower than other R-3350's allowing for more efficient high speed/ high altitude flight...... (engine also rumored to power Rare Bear, the fasted piston powered airplane in the world).......original stainless steel data plate measures 3" by 5" with firing order, rated horsepower (3400 hp) and numerous other data........good condition, but shows evidence of use.....rare.....
