1-49-D-C-2......DOUGLAS DC-6 - DC-7 FUEL DIPSTICK ....Here is something you don't see everyday!......fuel tank dipsticks for the DC-6, DC-7 and C-118 and R6D aircraft.....clear plastic casing held graduated scale that was calibrated for each tank seperately......"stick" was dipped in tank with finger over hole at the end, then removed and read....releasing finger over hole dumped the fuel from the stick back into the tank....very EPA friendly!.......made by the C Martin Welch and CO. of Calif....used with some wear....stand 36" tall , and about 3/4" square........have a few, each is for a slightly different model plane........ my choice of which one you get .........$17 each |

2-29-D-C-2.....BEECHCRAFT ALUMINUM EMBLEM....From some early model Beechcraft (Staggerwing, "18", Bonanza? I dont know) this solid cast aluminum item with raised "Beechcraft" script logo was intended for old style 'slide thru' seat belt.... with a little work it would make a most unusual and wonderful belt buckle....size 2 1/4 by 3"...have several...each...$22.

5-12-D-C-2...DOUGLAS DC-3 MFG DATA PLATE 1940/50'S...Heavy metal plate 3 1/2 x 2/34" which was affixed near the flight deck of the venerable DC-3 when built by Douglas Aircraft at the old Santa Monica plant... legend has it some years ago Douglas cleaned out a lot of old inventory and these unused mfg plates were found....certainly would make fine gift for old -3 line Captain....$75
