3-11-C-M-4......USAAF CADET PATCH........Winged Propeller worn on the sleeve of USAAF Flight Cadets throughout WWII.....frequently seen emblem was made in a few variants including gold with blue backround, gold with black background, and different fabrics.......beautiful patch in excellent new old stock condition, and it is genuine WWII......measures 2.5" diameter and bright gold thread on black felt background....conflicting reports, but I believe the felt background was earlier than the later sewn background.....I have a couple in stock .....original...... $20 each......
*****How do we know these are genuine? I always ask this question when looking to purchase items such as these.....there are a few ways to tell- the best known way is to check the thread to see if it shows up under black-light "UV"- if it does- it is most likely fake!- thread produced in WWII was not the modern synthetic type bleach/dye of modern times, and does not 'glow'. Also, if you look at the edges of the stitching, you will notice a different, smooth contour of old patches compared to the modern over-sewn edging of modern.****
