7-4-C-M-2......BOEING B-29 SUPERFORTRESS CABLE PULLEY...... Bored with common stuff like P-47 landing gear and P-51 control sticks?........how about a genuine Boeing B-29 bomber cable pulley??.......large phenolic pulley measures a massive 10" diameter, and is in quite good condition, although looking at the groove portion (where the cable rides), this is definently used........looks like a huge cable was used, maybe 3/16"?.....(general aviation aircraft use cables as small as 1/32'!) .........center of pulley has ball bearing mount......pulley is marked 'AN 210-10B' and has manufacturer trademark of a circle W (Westinghouse?).....the AN 210 designation was the Army/Navy standardization adopted in Jan. 1941 and superceded by the AN 219 after Dec. 1951..........I have shown a page out of a B-29 manual that shows similar pulleys in the fuselage.....pulley is quite attractive medium brown and in very good condition......$25 |

10-8-C-M-2....... DOUGLAS C-54 'SKYMASTER' DATA PLATE.....This plate is riveted to the plane by the factory when new, denoting its identity......practically 'hens-teeth' to find one of these on any WWII US warplane, plate shows this Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc. plane was a C-54G with a AAF45 serial number indicating it was a 1945 procurment...(did it fly Berlin Airlift?)... particular plane was converted into civilian airplane after Military discharge, became Pan American Airlines N88945 Clipper GLADIATOR (the first one!), and survived until it slid off an icy runway in Alaska in 1993 when owned by an air transport company ......aluminum plate measures 2.5" by 3.5" and is weathered, but its in better condition than the rest of the plane (I think it was scrapped)....... original.....$250 ***comes with short typed history of this plane*** |
