1-11-C-M-1......CRASHED HALIFAX BOMBER ARTIFACTS........The four engined British heavy bomber of WWII (said to be second only to the Lancaster in popularity) developed engine trouble on route to bomb Volkel Airfield in Holland and crashed with a full bomb load at Pampisford, Cambridgeshire on 9-3-1944.......of the crew of 7 guys, only three survived, two more went down with the plane, and two were killed in their parachutes.......parts recovered include one .303 Browning machine gun shell, what looks like an instrument, and part of a hinge.......documentation is included such as which particular plane this was, crew's names, who survived, recovery date etc......attached via plastic to cardoard, measuring 8" by 13"....tribute to another brave crew of WWII......spend $1000's trying to recover original WWII bomber parts like this yourself, or buy these for .........$30
2-44-C-M-1......US IDENTIFICATION CHART OF BRITISH BRISTOL BLENHEIM ......A common sight on any barracks, quonset hut, planning room, pilot lounge, etc....chart was used by Allied Training Divisions for training and updated information on identifying friend or foe....pilots, aircrew (read trigger happy gunners!), AAA installations ground observers, shipmates all had to know the difference between a B-26 and a He-111....25" by 18.5" US Naval Aviation Training Division chart depicts British medium bomber(and fighter, night-fighter, ground attack, and built by US company Fairchild for Canadians!) .....dated April1943, this chart is real, and in good condition........shows numerous angles of plane, coding for identifiable features, and relative size.....shipped rolled......guaranteed genuine original.....$18
3-15-C-M-1........ AIRCRAFT 'DZUS' TOOL, WWII .....They are back!, I had run out, but lucked across a few more........Hang one of these on your key chain to impress the airport bums, or set one in your Snap-On tool cabinet.....the tool used to unfasten cowlings and inspection panels on most all WWII fighters and bombers...issued to all the Air Corps mechanics, and a lot of pilots carried one also (including this one)....about 4 and one half inches long, metal tool with 3 size dzus 'key' and wooden/plastic handles.....this one here is a San Antonio Air Depot ( stamps vary on each tool, plastic handle is original WWII too, but have no stamps marked on them- no guarantee which one you will get).....very good condition with a thick coat of cosmoline (comes off with gas-solvent-kerosene) .....$16 each & let me know if you want a wood or black plastic handle-both are original WWII items....
4-32-C-M-1...........ORIGINAL DRONE PROPELLER.... This cute little prop weighs in at a little over 4 pounds and was a 44" long model.....most likely a WWII or immediate post war era "drone" unit....the drones were a series of light radio controlled airplanes used to simulate enemy attack...they would either be shot down, or if lucky, spring a parachute and land to fly another day....most drones sported a 12' wingspan and used 20 to 40 h.p. engines....over 12,000 were produced between 1942-1945.......this prop's tips are both damaged from hitting something during rotation!.... legend has it that the gunner who actually "got it" was awarded the wooden prop as a trophy.....good condition except for the last 2 inches of each blade........$145
