WAR EFFORT POSTCARD...Oversize 7x4 1/2" Postcard from Ford..."Building Wings & Wheels For Victory" it reads on the reverse, as well as, "Theres a Ford in Your Future"..(as a lot of Germans found out on D-Day)...photo line up of all the things Ford was building...B-24s (Willow Run Plant)...CG-4 Troop Gliders (under license from Waco)...many tanks, jeeps, radial engines, armored carriers...etc...all shown on this unused WW11 Ford postcard...I have a whole box of them...buy one for..$7
4-1-C-C-4...CURTISS-WRIGHT AIRCRAFT WORKERS PRODUCTION AWARD PIN WW11 ...Given to and proudly worn by the builders of the Flying Tigers P-40 fighter and the C-46 Curtiss Commando troop carrier aircraft...1 1/4" span gold metal wings with center logo of, "CURTISS-WRIGHT 100% PRODUCTION SOLDIER"...pinback on the original presentation card... dad found a box of these near the old CW plant some years ago...originals...each.......$25.
5-44-C-C-4.........ALUMINUM ART DECO CORSAIR ...Solid aluminum F4U Vought Corsair mounted on solid aluminum stand..... recent manufacture of the high quality with black felt under base and clear plastic propeller disk..........highly polished dimensionally correct model........stands about 6" tall and weighs a hefty pound........beautiful representation of the 'whistling death'.. no markings on the plane.....art deco........... REPUBLIC AVIATION EMPLOYEES AWARD PIN ....Sterling silver with blue cloisenne finish, this 3/4 inch lapel pin was awarded to employee of Republic Aviation Co. for useful suggestion...probably how to make a better P-47 "Thunderbolt"...has the Co. logo of three aircraft and legend, "Suggestion Award"...small red and white border stars above...quite a rare item from a famed aircraft builder... screwback fastener .. original .... $45
