1-10-C-C-2.......NORTH AMERICAN AVIATION PROPERTY TAGS WWII...............North American moved to a 20 acre facility just North of the Los Angeles Municipal Airport in 1935 and proceeded to build more military aircraft than any other US manufacturer through 1967.....the P-51, B-25, F-86, AT-6, etc...............this tag is an original piece of aircraft aluminum attached to anything in the factory that was of concern....equipment, the boss's desk, and so on.....it could then be tracked through a numbering system.....each tag measures 1" by 1.75" on what feels and looks like .032 dural aircraft aluminum, probably scraps during P-51 production.....I have several tags each numbered differently all in good shape......genuine......$7 each

2-13-C-C-2......... NEW OLD STOCK DOUGLAS DC-3 RUDDER PEDAL .......Starting that ground up restoration on your DC-3?.....well even if you are not, and you are like me, this is about as close as we may ever get to handling the controls of a 'Gooney Bird'............large rudder pedal assembly comes with a yellow tag still attached from Atlas Aircraft Corp. of FL., part number, and on remarks, it is written 'NEW'.........I would agree, the numerous part numbers are all visible, as are the inked stamps and all hardware..........quite hefty, stands over 1' tall, and finished in natural metal and black paint .....original excellent condition new old stoc yellow tagged DC-3 rudder pedal assembly for...........$65 |

3-9-C-C-2...... BOCA RATON FIELD, FLORIDA PILLOW CASE .........Sold at the base PX, pillow case measures about 19" by 19" with silk type cloth on front of case ...North American B-25 Mitchell in front and center..USAAF emblem in upper left corner, and SUSTANEO ALAS 'lamp' in upper right corner- translates to 'I sustain the wings..an amazing number of flight operations at Boca Raton AAF, including numerous fighter wings..........quite attractive original....folded for the last 45 years, some light spotting but overall very good condition, full color with sewn fringe border.....probably should be framed.....original WWII item sold to our boys who were about to ship off to war...$40 |
4-28-C-C-2...CONSOLIDATED AIRCRAFT WINGS PIN, WW II...Still on the original Jewelers sales card located near the factory in San Diego where they were building B-24s and PBY for the war... 1 1/4 " gold metal wings with legend "CONSOLIDATED" across center...old style pinback fastener...sold to plant workers during the war...fine cond...,,,original $ 39. |

6-45-C-C-2..........WRIGHT AIRCRAFT ENGINES BADGE......Proudly displayed on the famous engines in a similar fashion to Pratt & Whitney emblems......Wright Engines, even though a division of Curtiss-Wright corporate giant, kept their original name, as made famous by Charles Lindbergh and his 'Spirit'.......... metal emblem is full color red white and blue porcelain filled over gold color solid metal........measures about 2 and 3/8" across..... the orginals are all gone now, so a fellow collector had these re-made......I have a few and all are in new condition...... beautiful reproductions..........$25 each |

8-9-C-C-2.......USAAF SEYMOUR JOHNSON FIELD, N.C. 'SWEETHEART PILLOW CASE'........Sold at Base PX's all over the world, each was individualized for its particular base.....Seymour Johnson Field in North Carolina, interestingly, Seymour Johnson was a US NAVY test pilot who died in 1940, apparently he was a local boy, hence the field name...I also love the 'poem' on this pillow case, it reads " Sister, other verses may be longer or a bit more stylish Sis- but they can't bring more good wishes than were tucked away in THIS!'......also there are a pair ofB-17's flying at the top of this case...blue material with yellow fringe...some sepia discoloring on the case, overall good condition..17" by 17" ....original WWII sold to our boys about to ship off to war......$35 |

9-9-C-C-2......ARMY AIR BASE SYRACUSE N.Y. SWEETHEART PILLOW WWII........Original silk type cloth pillow case measures 17" by 17" in excellent condition, almost like new.....conflicting information on what was operating at this Air Base in WWII, but here is one account of the field: Pillow case was sold at the base PX store usually as a gift/momento to family members or girlfriends before servicemen would ship off overseas........original WWII ......$40
