1-64-B-C-4...CALIFORNIA PROPELLER COMPANY...An obscure bit of aviation history, the Calif. Prop Company is listed in 1939 Aerosphere as an aircraft prop manufacturer, yet little other information exists.........but here is one of their propellers......it uses the standard '0' flange, common to the Aerona E-107 and E-113 engines of the day (and a number of other engines such as the Continental A-40).......prop is stamped CAL PROP CO and DES NO 2-F SER NO 2559......its 60" long, kinda' small for the A-40.....did it go on an Aeronca C with the 2 cyl. E-113?..has rare original California Prop Co decals... engine turned center plate...brass tips...three laminations...2 1/2" thick at hub.....fine condition..you probably won't find another.....circa late 1930's.......$495 |
