1-11-B-C-3......LINDBERGH 'BUST' BANK..... Following Charles Linbergh's wild fame of 1927, many novel plans used the aviator's likeness to sell non-aviation items, one of these was a metal portrait bust of the aviator in his leather jacket, helmet, and goggles........on the bottom of this metal bust was a locked coin slot that held quite a bit of 'loose change'........when a key was inserted, a plate would un-lock and open to reveal savings.....decal affixed on base is marked 'Fidelity Trust Co., Detroit, Mich'.......Lindbergh is cast aluminum, painted gold, with removable key lock metal base plate.....on reverse side is marking 'Lindy-Bank' copyright by G&T. 1928.........looks like artwork was done by N. Tregor..........stands 6" tall.....I don't have the key, so I have not tried to look inside this bank.....good condition overall on this 78 year old Lindbergh artifact......SOLD
